PLeDGE Health is a start up nonprofit dedicated to the development of educational leadership experience. With active programs in Mozambique and Zimbabwe, we support our partners in their efforts to develop emergency medicine in countries that do not have the specialty. PLeDGE Health provides direct support to these emergency medicine development programs, a structure to encourage sustainable exchange and a platform that encourages open source material development and dissemination.

PLeDGE Health encourages activities in which our volunteers work overseas with health care providers to develop durable relationships for the future. All activities have three components to them: 1) domestic program development with involvement of local providers creating a program and materials; 2) Overseas implementation of training and/or exchange; and 3) dissemination of lessons learned both to participants overseas and domestically.  

PLeDGE Health projects currently include supporting emergency medical care development in Mozambique & Zimbabwe, with a history of additional small programs in Vietnam and Nepal. PLeDGE Health is actively partnering with academic programs both in the USA and abroad to ensure long-term relationships that provide support to emergency medicine development.
